Is this Chevrolet Silverado ZL1 a Yankee Doodle or Yankee Doodle do Roids? On first impressions, it looks more muscle-bound moron tanked up on an illegal supply of steroids purchased at the local gym that’s what. America, once the land of Apple Pie and illegal occupation of indigenous tribal land, is now a land of Pickup Truck owners. Often these Pickup trucks are driven by men who frequent Gyms where they pump more steroids than time spent working out.
You can identify the steroid abusers, they aimlessly meander around the local gym doing nothing other than having a casual chat with fellow steroid abusers. They will spend no more than 10 minutes pumping iron whereupon the entire Gym echoes with the sound of “HUUUHHHGHHHhhh!” After, they spend the rest of their session chatting away until its time to pump yet more steroid juice and immediately thereafter drive home.
To celebrate this lifestyle @Jlord8 decided to put pen to Wacom tablet and imagine what type of vehicle a steroid-pumping Yankee Doodle Gym junkie would drive. The result is a muscle car pickup, an oxymoron of sorts, but not as moronic as those oversized, muscle-bound steroid-pumping morons.
The concept rendering shows a widened and lowered Silverado ZL1, with its mean-looking double-stacked grille and flared side skirts. As with the stock ZL1, this example is presumably powered by the stock 650bhp supercharged V8. But it’s all imaginary… or is it?
