Hey everyone ,
These days I took my M240i on the Nurburgring Nordschleife! Believed I would share some suggestions on the automobile relating to tires, suspension pushed near its restrictions.
Tires Options: Chilly: Entrance 2.6 bar 90° & Rear 2.6 Bar 90°
Tires Very hot (Submit Lap) Entrance 3.1bar 142° & R 3. bar 122°
Tires: PS4S* (OEM)
Suspension: M Adaptive
Brakes: Absolutely Inventory
Automobile Environment: Activity + & DSC Entirely Off
Air Temp: 65° F
So, let us start with tires & pressures.
PS4S tires are phenomenal if any one tells you other smart they are wholly incorrect & most do not even push at the restrict of this tire. It is a quickly tire but the pressures want to be accurate for the body weight of the automobile & that is with any tire. Tomorrow I will commence with 2.1bar F & 2.2 bar R. The tires obtained “greasy” towards the conclusion of the lap so decreasing pressures should be great to go. This was a test lap to see how the motor vehicle behaves.
Suspension: Very astonishing. Auto did not want to roll I took the curb out of fox hole, wipperman, and did a modest bounce at Pflanzgarten and the motor vehicle was planted. Miles ahead of the factory suspension on my prior F30 340xi with eibach springs.
Brakes: *Extremely Astonishing*absolutely everyone around in the G80 boards are crying about the rear brakes & tbh quite respectfully they work particularly well. I will confess I was a bit nervous myself. My previous car or truck I experienced M Functionality brakes with Unlimited ME20 Pads & Stainless Strains. I experienced a 30 minute chat with George from Apex Nürburg & the *ONLY* matter they have changed are the brake pads. They are waiting around TüV for stainless lines. We both equally agreed that these vehicles need to have to be pushed with DSC Totally off or you will try to eat through pads. Ample reported.
General Views: I love this auto it is way much more confident than my 340 and it is so enjoyable driving on the Nordschleife. Tomorrow I will adjust pressures and report back again to this discussion board. For now enjoy some pics
